THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTSDEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC UTILITIESNOTICE OF FILING, PUBLIC HEARING, AND REQUEST FOR COMMENTSD.P.U. 25-181January 16, 2026Petition of Massachusetts Electric Company and Nantucket Electric Company, each d/b/a National Grid, pur-suant to St. 2024, c. 239, " 134, for approval by the Department of Public Utilities of its Electric Vehicle SupplyEquipment Plan.On December 30, 2025, Massachusetts Electric Company and Nantucket Electric Company, each d/b/a NationalGrid (together, "Company" or "National Grid"), filed a petition with the Department of Public Utilities ("Department")for approval of its electric vehicle ("EV") supply equipment ("EVSE") plan proposal. National Grid proposes to recoverthe costs associated with ROW and pole-mounted EVSE projects, including the enhanced incentives, through thecommercial segment budget of its Phase IV EV program and does not propose to establish a separate budgetspecific to ROW or pole-mounted EVSE. The Company also plans tocommunicate the enhanced ROW and pole-mounted EVSE incentives through marketing materials and targetedcustomer outreach and to engage with key stakeholders and EVSE operators to ensure that interested customershave access to best practices, case studies, and information regarding ROW and pole-mounted EVSE projects.National Grid further states that it will apply lessons learned from the Phase IV EV program to inform the develop-ment of a long-term strategy to support ROW and pole-mounted EVSE deployment. The Department will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on the Company's petition on Wednesday,February 11, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The public hearing will be conducted jointly with the EV-related petitionsfiled by NSTAR Electric Company docketed as D.P.U. 25-180 and D.P.U. 25-188 and Fitchburg Gas and ElectricLight Company docketed as D.P.U. 25-182.The public hearing will be virtual and use Zoom videoconferencing.
